First Red Fish for Dave Eshelman

Not a bad start for his first inshore fishing trip. Dave caught this Bull Redfish on January 2nd in Apalachicola bay, just North of St George Island. He was with Capt. Tim "SGT" Peterson. He caught it on a fresh piece of shrimp on 10lb test fishing line and a very small hook. Dave and Mary came all the way from Maine to check out our Rental home on Dog Island. Captain Peterson is a resident of Dog Island. On the way back, we hit a few fishing holes and got the fishing reel screaming with this big Bull Red Drum. Mary nearly caught one larger than this, but it broke the line!
